So, this will be my 3rd graduation since ‘07. I have to say I am impressed by my own accomplishments, as I should be. This is huge. Academia hasn’t been much of a challenge for me, the outside extra-curricular activities and leadership roles I’ve taken up along the way HAVE ! 

This year I was:

African Student Association Treasurer

Habitat for Humanity Program Coordinator (among many many many things)

UW Mentor 

and the like 

This can definitely take a toll on someone’s life. Being so busy but trying to maintain sanity. UGHHHHHHHHHHHHHH Not to add, I was trying to be the best sister, role model, mentor I could be and with that comes many ups&downs. Also, an amazing companion to my beautiful King. 

In essence, I am pleased with my performance thus far, although I know I could have done MUCH more. But, it doesn’t stop there, I am on a path to find what’s next in line for me. Who knows? The Gods…..

So, to wrap shit up. I will be graduating with a BASW Undergraduate Degree from the University of Washington -Seattle. Shit was far from easy, the environment does not promote mental well-being but the social groups I have surrounded myself around DID and that is how I kept my composure. 

3 Graduations in 6 yearsand in honor of that I will attend 3 graduation ceremonies: The Black Graduation, The SSW Graduation and The BIG UW Graduation. 

What a eventful week I will be having in 2 weeks, yipeeeeeeeeeee! Perseverance is the key to success. (along with a million of other interconnected things, ofcourse!)
